MULTI-PITCH GUIDING

The Stawamus Chief is world famous for multi-pitch granite climbing and Squamish Rock Guides has been leading guests on memorable adventures for almost 15 years. Marc Bourdon, the owner of SRG, is a course leader for the ACMG Guide Training program, which ensures that all of our guides are at the top of the multi-pitch rock guiding field. Our dedication to this aspect of the profession is not to be understated, and we encourage our guests to review the guides' résumés for a better understanding of the depth of our talents.

In Squamish, we are incredibly lucky because we have multi-pitch routes for all abilities. If you've never tried a multi-pitch climb before, the Apron on the Chief has excellent five to seven pitch routes in the 5.7 to 5.9 grade range. For those with a little more experience, a climb to the top of the Chief is entirely possible with many excellent 5.10 and 5.11 routes from which to choose. Finally, half-day outings are easily planned as we have many shorter, but equally impressive routes at our disposal on and around the Chief.
